Our Vision: Using Data to Inform Policy Decisions
Benefiting Wyoming Citizens
The Wyoming Statewide Longitudinal Education Data System (SLEDS) is a statewide collaboration between the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE), the Department of Workforce Services (DWS), Wyoming’s community colleges, the University of Wyoming (UW), the Department of Family Services, and the Wyoming Community College Commission. These participating entities link education and workforce data so that policymakers, public programs, and the public can make informed decisions and affect change.
Please refer to our short video to understand SLEDS from stakeholder view points.
Linking Data to Inform Public Programs and Policy
SLEDS is a system that links data across a range of educational and workforce data sources in Wyoming to inform policy decision-making. Data is aggregated so that state agencies, policymakers, and educators can correlate factors impacting education and employment.
Protecting Individuals' Data
SLEDS does not report on individually identifiable data. The privacy of individual records is protected. Additional information on privacy and security of individual data can be found under the Privacy and Security tab.
